The waste disposal under sink is a convenient item in the kitchen. Many people install them themselves, because all you need to install the waste sink disposal is some plumbing and electrical knowledge. The installation of a disposer from start to finish should not exceed a few hours. Depending on your skill level, you can complete it very quickly. Here is how to install the sink waste crusher.
The drain pipe needs to be removed to make room for the new kitchen garbage disposal unit. To ensure that the main drain is blocked and leaks will not occur, place an old rag in the drain. At the bottom of the sink flange, there is a large nut that needs to be removed. After the nut is unscrewed, push the filter body through the sink until it pops out. Putty is usually placed around the opening of the sink. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to remove the putty. Make sure the opening is clean.
Next, the installation components need to be placed upside down into the space. You need to service the mounting ring, so you need to loosen all screws. The mounting components (including the mounting ring and drain flange) need to be removed, so you need to remove the ring for this purpose. Damage to the fiber gasket is easy to occur, so please make sure not to damage it when separating the parts.
Prepare some plumber's putty and place it all around the drain. It must be firmly in place. Slide the metal ring and gasket onto the flange of the sink to prepare for installation. When placing the mounting ring on the flange, you may need to use rubber bands to hold the ring and fiber washer in place. Make sure the ring is above the ring groove and held in place by the snap ring.
When everything is ready, tighten the mounting screws and draw the kitchen sink crusher closer to the sink. After completion, the equipment should be firmly fixed. During these steps, if more putty falls from the drain flange, make sure to clean it up. You can now connect the power supply to the kitchen waste disposer. There are screws to fix the access cover to the equipment. It is at the bottom. Just unscrew the screws and remove the wires.
Using a wire clamp, pass the wire through the clamp. From now on it is just wiring. Arrange the black and white wires on the coordinated wires and make sure to use wire nuts and some electrical tape to secure them. The white wire should be used with the white wire of the power cord, and the black wire should be used with the black wire of the power cord. Finally, connect the ground wire. You need to push the wire into the manhole and tighten it with an electric clamp.
This optional step is suitable for household waste disposal where the dishwasher drain flows through the home rubbish removal. First, you need to find the entrance to the dishwasher in the processor. After you find it, unplug it from the domestic waste disposal.
Connecting the equipment to the drain is the last step. For this, you need a PVC P-type trap or drain pipe. Put all pipes together and tighten. Make sure the drain pipe is aligned with the food waste garbage disposal in the sink drain pipe. You can now connect the dishwasher line. Take the dishwasher hose and slide it into the nipple. Then, use hose clamps or any other clamps provided to you by the manufacturer to secure the connection.
