The waste sink disposal is one of the most overlooked appliances in the entire kitchen. When you need it, it is there to chop food. It helps to dispose of the biodegradable materials in your trash, and these materials can make your kitchen smell bad. However, like any device, it will wear out over time, so you need to remove it to replace it.
The sink waste disposer is located under the sink. Usually, you will have a split sink with one drain connected directly to the kitchen water outlet line. Another drainage pipe will enter the garbage disposal site and then connect to the pipeline outside the kitchen. If you have a dishwasher, it will also be connected to the home garbage disposal site.
The sink garbage disposal is a round device that is smaller than the square foot (although the model is different, some waste disposal will be larger, while others will be smaller). There are a series of rotating blades at the bottom of the sink waste disposal device. These blades are similar to the blades of a coffee grinder. When running the waste treatment, the blade will rotate and shred all the materials put into the waste treatment. This is used to help chop up food waste that you will not need.
By shredding food waste, the automatic garbage disposal helps keep materials out of the waste. This not only reduces the debris that accumulates in the landfill, but also prevents unpleasant smells in the kitchen. If you do not dispose of garbage, the food particles will eventually be placed in the trash can for several days, causing the degraded food odor to waft in the kitchen.
The first step in how to remove garbage is to turn off the water flowing into the sink. The kitchen water control valve will be located under the sink. Just turn off this function, and you can proceed to the next step.
When the water is turned off, the next step for food waste disposal is to place the drip tray under the garbage disposal device. You may need to remove all other materials under the sink to allow some working space. The biggest issue here is space (especially if you have a small kitchen). You may also need a flashlight, because some processing devices may have screws on the back of the device (although if you don't have a flashlight, you can use the flash on your phone or you can touch it).
Disconnect the dishwasher
Disconnect the hose from the dishwasher to its side. There will be a clamp that is tightened with screws. Loosen the screw so that the clamp can move freely on the pipe. Now, remove the pipe connected to the kitchen garbage disposal. The water may pour out a little, so please prepare a collection tray.
Remove pipe
Now you can unload the next pipe connected to the pipe from the household rubbish disposal. There are several ways to do this, depending on the connection you have. If you have a test tube, the disconnection process will be the same. Loosen the screw on the fixture, then pull out the test tube (and discharge it into the collection tray). However, you may have actually connected the device. Normally, during garbage disposal, you will have a PVC connection and a screw cap to fix the pipe to the garbage disposal. Loosen the nut and slide it back into the pipe. This will disconnect the pipeline from the disposal.
Disconnect the trash can from the sink
Now you are ready to disconnect the domestic refuse disposal from the sink. Usually there will be a series of screws around the top of the sink that need to be removed.
