The garbage disposer is stuck, what should I do?

Step 1: Try the reset button

Step 2: Unplug the garbage disposal device from the power source

Step 3: Use an Allen key

Step 4: Cancel garbage disposal from the top

Insert the Allen key down into the drain pipe. Move the Allen key until it is firmly placed on the cutting blade. While holding the cutting blade, turn it counterclockwise one full turn. Then, move it clockwise until the machine is stuck.

 

 

Step 5: Restore power

Now that you have filled the equipment, make sure to reconnect the sink food waste disposer to the power source. This usually means that you need to turn the circuit breaker in the opposite direction.

 

 

Step 6: Run cold water

After blocking the kitchen garbage disposal, turn it on and pour cold water into the sewer for at least 10 minutes. This helps to remove all remaining food from the equipment and helps ensure that it keeps running smoothly.
